Your Safe Space

Do you have a safe space?

🧠You can soothe your amygdala (the emotion-processing powerhouse in your brain) by inducing a sense of safety and gratitude.

Here's how:

1. Identify Your Safe Space:

Close your eyes and mentally visualize a real, comforting place.

For me, it's my hometown balcony.

2. Immerse Your Senses:

Picture the details - what you see, feel, smell, and hear. Transport yourself there mentally.

I see mountains, hear birds, and smell my coffee.

(or maybe it's just the fasting effect☕️).

3. Assign a Word:

Pick a word that resonates with this place.

Mine is ‘home’.

Repeat it silently for a few minutes.

💕Voila! Writing this down already makes me feel better.

Take home message:

Remember your chosen word whenever you need a moment of calm.

So, what is your safe space?
